UltiMaker is a company with Dutch roots. The last years it grew to a giant on the area of 3D-printing. With branches worldwide and a diverse product range it is an organisation that continuously innovates. And it has to innovate to keep up with the ever changing world of 3D-printing. It was our task to help them positioning their products in a slick, modern and functional way. Four years ago, they came to us with this challenge. Since then, we helped them create a style that resonates with the viewer.
This journey starts with a production that had to set the standard. We wanted to show the product, but also work on the branding of UltiMaker. That’s why we introduced a concept that used extras to convey the message, so that the viewer could identify himself with it. We casted these extras based of the model of the printer: industrial printers and consumer printers.
By using the right locations and lighting we worked on the brand style of UltiMaker. This, together with fitting animations to highlight the USP’s, played a key role in the final product. For us it was a fitting way to spotlight the 3D-printers. After this first production we kept working on the standard of the brand.
